City Council Vacancy - Apply Now!

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Wheeler is currently accepting application for a vacancy on the City Council.  Applications will be accepted through 11:30 AM on Friday, March 24, 2023.  Applications are available on the city’s website and city hall.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR COUNCILOR: A member of the Council shall be a qualified elector under the state constitution and shall have resided within the city limits during the 12-months immediately before being appointed to the office.

PROCESS: The City Council will review the applications and select the top applicants for interviews.  Upon completion of the interviews the City Council will appoint an applicant to fill the vacant Councilor seat.
